This time, I gotta say wow! They did a great job on the villains. Looks even
better than the old cartoon. Nice colors, good poses. Although I have no
idea who Hun or those Purple Dragon guys are.

~Purple dragon gang I'm assuming are the guys from the first Mirage book.

Yeah, I explained them to Christine whom hasn't read the Mirage books.  At first when I said Hun, she thought it was one of the Punk Frogs named Attila the Hun!  LOL!  Actually, he reminds me of a blond Tatsu!  I also told her Baxter Stockman is African American, just like he was in Mirage and she goes, "So, can we call him Blackxter?"  I think she's a little upset the villains are going to be 'serious' but her little jokes cracked me up!  That's a good sign!  She may be watching this show with me!

What really jumped out at me is that they have separate drawings for Saki and Shredder...does this mean they will be different characters-- or is Shredder like Saki's "secret identity"?

More will be revealed....and Joanna-- you're NOT "pathetic"!!

NANCY:  She's so pathetic!

Hehehe, no you're not, I sometimes quote lines for no reason at all.  And anyway, the girl she refers to as being 'pathetic' kicks some major ass in the end!  :D  Ahem, as for Shredder, I'm betting the designs for Saki will be used for flashbacks (like when they meet April and Splinter tells of their origin to her).  OR!  If they make an episode where they go back in time with Renet to see Saki before he becomes Shredder, then that's when they'll use that design!  Yay!  I just read a little of issue #46 of "Masks" at the Official Website!  Renet was drawn beautifully by Michael Dooney.  :)

Yes, I may be pathetic for complaining about a cartoon character's hair
color, but as the daughter of two should-be-world-famous artists, I can at
least appreciate a decent sketch when I see it.

Ooooh,  both your parents are artists?  That's really cool!  My mom can't draw very well but my dad, on the other hand, if he didn't have this grudge against living in Los Angeles, he'd be working in the Walt Disney Studios Animation department!  Grrr, but no, he turned down the offer!  That's why I guess I appreciate all types of art these days because I want so much to be a part of it.  But with TMNT, they're teasing us again!  I'm getting sick of them only showing us simple sketches and character sheets!  I want to see some colored scenery, hear voices, and watch a moving pictah!  You can tell I'm getting greedy with this!  Must...have....MORE!!!  :D
