Brina: > Well, first off, HT, I think you've got yourself a new signature > quote from Splinter after Casey makes an unexpected visit to the > lair: "Next time, it would be wise to heed the ancient Japanese > proverb: phone first!" Didn't know that was a proverb! I actually > laughed hard at that one! *heh* *he-heh* But to a shifty ninja, that does make sense! Though, I was surprised to she how clumsy they all were they got knocked over. You think they would have at least tried to land on their feet. ;] > And Splinter installed the Clapper, such an eighties thing! Too > funny! Are you sure it wasn't another Donny idea? > Mikey's scream when Casey broke the DVD player was utterly classic. > Perfect pitch, too. I think I would have howled exactly the same > way! Of course... that DVD player was Mikey's 'baby'! Makes me wonder how don would react if something dear of his got busted. Or is he well used to that now, so that "I'll fix it..." becomes his first reflex? > CASEY: Whatcha workin' on? > DON: Uh, boring stuff. Really, really boring stuff. *heehee* > All of Casey's actions reminded me of Dan Berger's strip on the > official website. The time when the TMNT were gone for so long and > Splinter made Casey a roommate. Big mistake. Like when Casey comes > out with his fist stuck through the TV: "Yo! Splinty! Somethin's > wrong wit yer TV!" Even in the cartoon, the guy can get on poor > Splinter's nerves. Don't think they ever met in the old cartoon. > Can anyone remember? Err.... not really. But many of the Turltes expressions of "shock" and "awe" reminded me of how Berger draws em at times like that. > The usage of an invisible device is something real ninja trainers > would not be too pleased about. Real invisibility is used with the > body, mind, and spirit, not of some little cute pin you stick on your > chest! That's the easy way to do it! True. Like ow the Turtles were actually training. Poor Saki... is he really that in need of Baxter's devices to let him get away with that invention? > Turtle Vision Heat Sensor Goggles really came in handy. "After all, > an invisible body is still a warm body." Don quotes so > intelligently. Dunno about you guys but I thought Casey looked > hysterical with the goggles on over his hockey mask. Says Mike, > "That's a good look for you!" Didn't matter, I was still laughing at > it. :D Sessy! (Not!) And I thought Donny looked hilarous in those things during "Darkness". But he must have tweaked the goggles some more, cuase they were just night vision goggles to begin with. > I wonder with the Utroms now appearing, > maybe Renet will appear, too? Not in this season but maybe the next > one? That'd be awesome! Well, I doubt it. The Utroms were a Mirage invention, so you might have better luck seeing the Triceratons next. Renet... if I'm correct, wasn't she a character that Dooney created later on? I noticed Laird seems to use characters that are genuine Mirage, or those he had a hand in creating. Hrm... > April wasn't in it again, but that's okay. If she was in them all, > we'd grow tired of her very fast. Besides, I don't see my friends > every single day. Well, they all live far away but, you know what I > mean. It'd start to get old after awhile. Yeah... I like the unpredictablity of thier cast, in that sometimes you don't get to see all the characters all the time. I did get tired of the old TMNT cartoon at times when they seemed to have a long stretch of the TMNT and April against Shredder and Krang. Plus... Casey only had maybe one or two eps in the old cartoons. It's nice to see more of him too. I also like the serious tease they play, making the audience wondering *when* Saki will devue as the Shredder! > All in all, I thought "The Way of Invisibility" was a very > well-written episode with great laughs and wonderful action. Action > always has to be good. Loved how Raph got to do Leo's split-kicker > during the battle. lol! I really liked the ep, though, I think > missing out on the prologue made it seem even shorter. I know the > prologue is only a sample of what's to come, but I still regret not > getting it on tape. Yeah.. I missed the prologue on this too. But since I get the downloads from Mirc later, I'm not worried either. I also agree this episode was one of the better ones. I loved it! :D > The upcoming ep looks like the initiation of Casey's friend, Angel, > wanting to join the Purple Dragons. I vaguely remember reading the > synopsis on the official site. And when the camera panned to the > TMNT, I must admit they look damn good in those street clothes! Raph > looked like such a homey! Mmhmmmm! Those new disguises the Turtles have are really happening! Much better than the funky trenchoat and jeans thing they had in the the old toons. But I think the stylin' clothed Turtle might be a reoccurance. For the new Dreamwave comic, I saw some sketches done by LeSean with the Turtles in clothes. Oh.. and anyone see those Extreme Turtle toy sculpts on the new site. Interesting.... I personally think the sketches look much better than the actual sculpts, but I guess I can't my cake and eat it too. ^^ ~HT ===== "A wise man never loses anything, if he has himself." ~Master Splinter ---== ] http://www.turtlequest.com [ ==--- __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
