Hello Patrick,

It's not just a question of JRE versions but rather an API discussion. A lot of APIs have been changed in 5.0 which will make the 1.4 installations fail!

Sure, compile the code on 5.0 with the 1.4 compat flag, so that
1.4 users can still run the software.
