Hi Prasanthi, Sorry I was dormant all these days. I am(was?) keen on this case. Simply put, we can tell them: *"We can help you buy medicines. And that's all we can do."* Your stand is to the point.
Best wishes, Ranare. On 07 Apr 2007 11:11:12 -0700, Prasanthi Uppalapati < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hello Friends, Let me share with you all what we haven't shared earlier. *Summary:* 1. We tried to help them indirectly, without they being aware that we are helping them. (not monetary support but resource support) 2. They ring to Jairam and requested him to talk to doctors on behalf of them 3. Our options in this case, if we want to consider *In Detail:* ** *With Jairam:* When we thought of dropping the case, they rang to Jairam (he was in Nellore at that time to attend a friend's marriage). He rang and informed to me. I explained him what had been happening here and told him to convey our message rather strongly to them, if they ring to him again. *With Vani:* After some days, Mahesh rang to Vani and even LN too spoke with her. We haven't posted to the group because we didn't want to upset you all. We told them sternly that we cannot help them in the way they expect. We even spoke with Paramjyothi, the reporter who presented their news item in Eenadu. (Earlier when myself and Kasyap went to the hospital, they got discharged.) *With Jairam:* Two days back Nagamuni rang to Jairam and told that they came here for current treatment (may be Chemo or Radiation therapy) but they were asked to come again and he requested Jairam and talk to the doctors. When Jairam informed this to me, I told him that we can do nothing but still asked him to talk to Dr. Sundar and if he is interested, let us talk to Dr. Vasan about these people. Sundar rang to Dr. Vasan and he told that there is a problem with the equipment and so they asked them to come after few days. This time he didn't happen to check her but he says that though her condition is critical, she is responding positively for the treatment. There are other cases that are more serious than her condition and so they asked them to come after few days. *Our Options:* It is a positive answer from Dr. Vasan that LN is responding positively for the treatment. Instead of deteriorating, her condition is improved. Though the case is critical, the chances are improved. Dr. Sundar wanted to help her by giving Ayurvedic medicines and even he got the permission from Dr. Vasan for doing so. My idea is that we will talk to them in person. 1. Will tell them crystal clearly that, their behaviour and response is not good and so we and other donors stopped helping them. 2. They shouldn't ring to us every now and then and ask us for money or food. 3. If they are really concerned for her health, we will help them for medicines 4. We will not give any money for their food and we cannot take care of the children. 5. We cannot take the responsibility of showing the room or work. 6. We will buy them required medicines and they should go to their place and they should visit us for check up. If at all they agree, we will help them otherwise we will ask them not to contact us any more for whatsoever be the reason. Anyways this is just my idea. I need your response, suggestions. -- Thank you. with regards, PRASANTHI. ---- When you want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
