Friends,

This evening I rang to Naveen's mother. She told me that till date
they got Rs. 40,000.

A lady doctor there is so harsh towards them and she doesn't care to
answer properly saying, 'Can you understand? You are saying you are
poor. Can you get Rs. 3 lakhs?'

Seems one donor from Banjara Hills Venu Gopala Rao gave the number
of Mr. Srinivas, R.M. of Osmania Hospital (as told to me. I do not
know if the names are correct) and told them that he will take good
care. They couldn't reach him.

It seems that few tests need to be done at NIMS and when they went
there on saturday concerned technicians are not present. They will
be visiting NIMS tomorrow. The tests cost Rs. 15000.

What should be our stand?

When compared to the required amount Rs. 10,000 would be negligible.
Also we do not have the complete balance sheet with us and we cannot
say that how much is the group fund and how much is the specific
amount. I cannot promise that before May 31st.

I am not interested to be a volunteer for this case.

Reason:

Rs. 10,000 would be of no use. Even if specific donors come forward
we cannot do justice. We cannot keep on giving Rs. 10,000 for
different cases for the sake of giving.

It would only give us a figure at the end of the year saying that we
served 12 medical cases. Purpose served in any case? No. Even in
Divena's case where CM and PM fund is issued, we have to spend some
20,000 Rs. for hospital bill alone.

To serve a case as a whole, we should take up one medical case in a
year, to do justice, to serve purpose.

My opinion as a member:

I do not want to volunteer for any medical case altogether in this
scenario. Either we should take up one case in a year. Or better
give it up completely.

Decision is left to the group. If somebody can volunteer, they can
take up the case and give Rs. 10,000 to them.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
