http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=5256 pageContext is null in JSP Tag class body Summary: pageContext is null in JSP Tag class body Product: Tomcat 3 Version: 3.2.3 Final Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: Other Component: Unknown AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If one refers to "pageContext" inside a TagSupport class declaration (before the constructor is executed), it will return null. If, however, one refers to pageContext inside doStartTag() it will be non-null. This used to work in Tomcat 3.2.3. JSP 2.2 specification doesn't seem to discuss the lifetime of pageContext. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
