Characters with accents not displayed correctly in Tomcat 3.3

It still doesn't work for me. Running on Linux/ Tomcat 3.3 last nightly build

I try:

<%@page contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" %>
<html>
<body>
<p> áéíóú âêîôû </p>
</body>
</html>

And it displays:

áéíóú âêîôû 

The curious is that if I do a 'view source', I can see the normal caracteres in 
notepad ( using IE 5.5 )

I also tried with Netscape and it didn't work ( here, 'view source' display 
wrong caracteres ).
