Hi all, Sorry about the multiple bug reports (kept tabbing on the submit) key. I don't know if this is a bug or something else. When you make a request without a file, i.e. http://www.mydomain.net/ Tomcat sends back a 302 redirecting you to whatever you've got it set up as a welcome file. All very well, as most people don't notice it sitting behind their browsers, but most search engine's policy is to refuse to even look at the redirection. This translates into lots of people out there running Tomcat being essentially bypassed by search engines. I've had a look at the code which does this and was wondering if a form of internal redirection would perhaps be a better choice? I'd be prepared to do the coding (as our clients will probably go berzerk if they find out) or does anyone know of a simpler option?
