This comment puzzles me. It's generally a very good thing when people want to use your code, and it's especially good when they want to use it for something the original authors never thought of. Of course, that isn't really the case here. Tomcat 4 was (at least according to the original proposal) intended for this sort of thing. Since most of the current set of developers don't want to use it that way, it's perfectly fair to tell people they're on their own. They've got the source, right? If somebody wants something, they can implement it themselves.
