Yes, although I suspect you're looking for something a little different than what I needed. You might check out: http://www.distributopia.com/servlet_stuff/catalina_mtc.html It's not ready for prime time, but it might give you some ideas. I can't seem to find it right now, but somewhere I've got an example of using regular-old Catalina completely without config files. It was what I was trying to use before MinimalTomcat. You can do it, but it's fighting against the tide, I don't really suggest it.
