http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13017 Symbolic links in TOMCAT Summary: Symbolic links in TOMCAT Product: Tomcat 4 Version: 4.1.12 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Catalina AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the past (e.g. Tomcat 3.3, 4.0.x) it was possible to use symbolic links on Linux together with TOMCAT. For me this was an easy way using Tomcat and Apache together. In Tomcat 4.1 symbolic links fail. Is this on purpose (if so, what is the reason for this?), or a bug. One way I have used them, was to create symbolic from the lib directory to my Java library structure. Another was to link from the webapps directory to the directory with the web content. I am aware of the configuration possibilities in server.xm, however symbolic links where very useful for me. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
