I presume that one could solve this similar to the fix I see in ErrorDispatchValve from 4.1.21 except that this exception appears a bit harder to identify (so as not to swallow important SocketExceptions as well). Any ideas? In the worst case, I suppose I could extend/replace this valve to take a parameter as to whether this error should be swallowed...
