When turning the security manager on:
java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission /home/ja120114/src/jakarta-tomcat-5/build/server/webapps/manager/WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/log4j/Logger.class read) at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(AccessControlContext.java:270) at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(AccessController.java:401)
Always do catalina run -security
Given the trivial fix (and the fact that only advanced users would use the security manager), I think it should be ok to upload the updated policy file next to the downloads, and consider this good enough.
