I have a question about Tomcat's session replication design. I would like to know the reasons behind the design choice to move from JGroups based replication to TCP based replication. Because it seems to me that TCP based replication will have higher overhead than JGroups [multicast based] replication. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this topic.
