We had the same problem here, in our case it was a NoSuchMethodException generated when we compiled the code in JBuilder using some strange flags. To debug this info, you must tail your localhost_log.2003-XX-XX.txt file under the $TOMCAT_HOME/logs/ If you find the error but yet have no idea about what's going on, send us the trace.
