It may be that you need to set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in your environment for tomcat and apache to 2.2.5 That seemed to fix this type of thing for me, but you are getting some messages that I never did. However, I was using unixSockets on Redhat 9. Search google for tomcat and LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
