Folks, Has anyone started a SSL connector programatically from a servlet instead of through the server.xml file? I started a SSL connector programatically, but none of the requests are going through.
I got the following error. Dec 9, 2003 3:01:18 PM org.apache.coyote.tomcat5.CoyoteConnector findContainer SEVERE: Error finding container java.lang.NullPointerException Dec 9, 2003 3:01:18 PM org.apache.coyote.tomcat5.CoyoteAdapter service SEVERE: An exception or error occurred in the container during the request proce ssing java.lang.NullPointerException at org.apache.coyote.tomcat5.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:21 1) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Processor.process(Http11Processor.java :805) at org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol$Http11ConnectionHandler.proce ssConnection(Http11Protocol.java:696) at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.TcpWorkerThread.runIt(PoolTcpEndpoint.java :605) at org.apache.tomcat.util.threads.ThreadPool$ControlRunnable.run(ThreadP ool.java:677) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534) 1) So I tried adding the connector to a predefined service. Service svc[] = ServerFactory.getServer().findServices() ; System.out.println("No of services = " + svc.length); for(int i = 0 ;i < svc.length ; ++i) { System.out.println("SVC Name = " + svc[i].getName()); } I am getting no services from the Server singelton object. 2) I tried adding as a new service. StandardService svs = new StandardService() ; svs.setName("CPA"); svs.addConnector(conn); ServerFactory.getServer().addService(svs); No response comes back from server. Any help?
