Rama, What Mathew is talking about is that Linux does not have services as windows does. I think that the term you need to search for is daemon. Or google for run Tomcat daemon.
Tomcat 5 has instructions for this on the setup page. I don't know if this can be applied to TC4. http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.0-doc/setup.html Hope this helps.
