Hi, We have tomcat instances that run ~20 webapps without a problem. Beyond that, we haven't tried, but then again that's why we have tools like JMeter, no? ;)
In large part this will depend on the soundness of the application. Especially if it's 100 of the same app, because then each memory leak would be multiplied by 100.
