Dave, If you need help then u will have to provide more information. Since this is quite an unusual problem - anything out of the ordinary will be a good place to start from.
I suggest you start from the log files - check them and tell us what is in them - any messages on the console.. By the way - what is contained in the MYAPP folder - have you followed the creation of a web app - WEB-INF WEB-INF/web.xml WEB-INF/classes WEB-INF/lib etc etc..
