I would not have an attitude except for the fact that I starting asking this
question yesterday afternoon and have not yet received an answer to my
question (I did receive a work around).
I understand that Tomcat is a free product no one is being paid to support
it.
I would go somewhere else (to get my question answered) except this is the
only place I know to get help running Tomcat.

Fine, its not a feature, it's part of the servlet spec. The problem is, I
can't get it to work and no-one seems to be able to offer me any suggestions
as to why its not working, or how to get it working.

It's not a TC feature, it's in servlet spec, and it was there at least since
2.1.
