how to integrate mod_jk into Tomcat 4.0

I want to use Tomcat 4.0 and the latest Apache webserver together on Win32.
Combining both mod_jk should be the best, right?

I copied "mod_jk.dll" into jakarta-tomcat-4.0/lib
Also I copied the "mod_jk.conf" into jakarta-tomcat-4.0/conf

When Tomcat starts now, a "mod_jk.conf-auto" should be generated, for
configuring Apache. But it doesn't.
So I guess I missed some entry somewhere, right?

Any idea?
