How to give timeouts to threads ?

Dear all,

I still have servlets threads lasting very long in my production
environnment.
Sometime they're up to 20mn ! It's CPU and memory consuming for nothing.
I think some of my servlets are not written well, they don't have a
"finally" clause and this is why threads are kept open.
But I hope somewhere we can specify tomcat to give timeout to these
everlasting threads.

Any ideas ?
