I wonder if you could send me the code to prints out the free memory and
total memory in jsp.
Thank you very much.

Hi Bo!
Thankīs for your reply, but I seem to have no luck with this.
Have done a little jsp file that prints out the free memory and total
memory
of the JVM and doesnīt seem to change. Maybe Iīve missunderstood your
reply,
Iīve just added -Xms & -Xmx to the end of the line:
        %CATALINA_OPTS% -Dcatalina.base="%CATALINA_BASE%"
-Dcatalina.home="%CATALINA
        _HOME%" org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7
%8
%9 start

So the result is:

        %CATALINA_OPTS% -Dcatalina.base="%CATALINA_BASE%"
-Dcatalina.home="%CATALINA
      _HOME%" org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8
%9
start -Xms100663296
        -Xmx134217728

What do say is this "approach" right or wrong?
Best regards Niclas Rothman

Hi everybody!
Iīm using Tomcat 4.0.1 and the version with the Windows NT service.
Does anybody know where to set the size for the memory to allocate to
the
Tomcat (-Xms & -Xmx), canīt find any documentation about this.
Best reqards

I am not sure, I think you can add it in catalina.bat in
CATALINA_HOME/bin,
for example, update the following:
*       _STARTJAVA
*       %_STARTJAVA%
%CATALINA_OPTS% -Dcatalina.base="%CATALINA_BASE%"
-Dcatalina.home="%CATALINA
        _HOME%" org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7
%8
%9 start

and add java -Xmsn/-Xmxn into them.
