Hi,
Look at log4j:
http://jakarta.apache.org/log4j

We've been using it for a while, both for development and production
logging, and it's just great. Most of JSR47 (java.util.logging)
is based on log4j, and it's also used by several commercial and/or
big products like JBoss.
