The HEAD branch of Tyrex is a very different TM than 0.9.7 was. Unfortunately, Intalio has apparently no incentive to release an updated version (can't really blame them). The new Tyrex is a complex and complete TM, with support for branches and JTS/OTS (unfortunately, it needs OpenORB to do most of its stuff, now, which makes the whole thing even more complex). 4.1 (known at the moment as 4.0-HEAD) uses the commons-dbcp project as the default connection pool provider.
