The Apache 2.0 connector I think is called mod_jk2 and is built from the jk/native2 directory. The jk/native directory builds mod_jk, which is an Apache 1.3 connector that won't work with Apache 2.0. I haven't done anything with mod_jk2 yet, so I can't say whether the current mod_jk2 will satisfy your definition of "working".
