You might have misspelled your JAVA_HOME, assuming this was a direct cut-and-paste from the command window. You also need to set CATALINA_HOME to your Tomcat install directory.

I have no clue. My friend runs the same tomcat on windows 200 and it works fine. i doubt setting up variables in windows XP???
