What OS do you use? You can add the the hostname in your hosts file. On Unix(es)/Linux it is /etc/hosts On Windows2000 it is c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (I think...) But if you're connected to the internet you should be able to reach your applications using the domain name.
