Hi, I thought Tomcat was java. The binary distribution I am after is like the ones which are available from the Jakarta/Tomcat web site. They have different binary distributions for Linux and Win. Are these only different in the scripts needed to start/stop tomcat etc? I noticed that my Win version had a tomcat.exe binary is this because it has been compiled with apache or something?
Sorry about all the questions, I am just trying to get a handle on Tomcat.
