Hi Chuck, 4.1.12 should be better than 4.0.4, particularly if you run it under the server version of the JDK under Solaris 8 and incremental garbage collection (-Xincgc). See http://java.sun.com/products/hotspot/docs/general/hs2.html for info on the server VM.
