linux tomcat startup prob

[maninder s batth]

hii am new to linux. i installed tomcat but 4.1.12 and the docs mentioned there would be
startup.sh and shutdown.sh in $CATALINA_HOME/bin , all i found was 3 jar files :'-(
where are those files......anyone??
