I have been trying to figure out the answer to this question for months now with no success. What causes the CPU usage for java to slowly rise as tomcat is left running? Slowly but surely, the CPU rises and rises until eventually it gets around 50% and stops. I think that is only because other processes won't give up 100% of the CPU to java.
What causes this? I have looked at everything I can think of. P.S. Memory usage rises slowly as well.
