You can configure your web.xml to forward error code 403 to your specific error page
like: <web.xml snippet> <error-page> <error-code>403</error-code> <location>/errors/403.jsp</location> </error-page> </web.xml snippet> ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, January 19, 2003 6:29 AM Subject: Re: WELCOME to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > I am logging into a protected area, with a username and password that is exists, but doesn't have the correct role to access the page, I am getting a 403: > 403: Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 - HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested > resource has been denied > and the user is being logged on to the system. > > I have found that this is the correct behavior of tomcat.
