ok, try this. 1. make sure your database is open and that you can connect to it using mysql 2. make sure the hostname javadev.logic.bm can be resolved 3. Make sure you add in the port number to your URL (I put in the default here) connectionURL="jdbc:mysql://javadev.logic.bm:3306/steve?user=user&password=password"
4.
