It has been a long time since I was last on this list, so if this question has been answered before I apologise. I did not see anything in the achives.
I have setup Tomcat 4.1.18 on Windows XP SP1. Everything seems to work correctly with the lone exception of the manager app. If I try going to http://localhost:8080/manager I get prompted for a user ID and password. My users.xml file has had an id and pw added to it. Once I enter the info I get a message in the browser (IE 6.0 SP1) that simply states "FAIL - Unknown command". I have tried the examples and they all work. I have tried the Admin app and it works great. I am using J2SDK 1.4.0 and J2EE 1.3. Has anyone encountered this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
