Many thanks!!! I added this entry to the web.xml <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>TestServlet</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/TestServlet</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> and was able to access it with this url: http://localhost:8080/stcecilia/TestServlet
