Im new to Tomcat and Oracle too. There is some good info out on technet.oracle.com on Servlets and JSPs BUT all the examples use OC4J (Oracle Containers for J2EE) not Tomcat. I am trying to learn the best way to use connection pooling. Ive been told that Oracles implementation of connection pooling has issues to try to use a "generic" implementation.
BUT that some Oracle transactions require "native" statements not "wrapped" statements. I was suggested poolman. But so far that is all I know.
