Hi @all, I got the problem regarding compiling cyrus-sasl-2.1.22 on a sparc machine solved.
For some reason the autogenearted libtool is unable to recognize the libraries properly on the system. So for this I have modified the libtool taken from www.sunfreeware.com, you'll find it attached to this posting. What you have to do is if you encounter problems compiling cyrus-sasl-2.1.22 on a sparc, and you get error responses that libtool can not solve all inter-libraries and simply creates non-working static libs, after running configure replace the auto generated libtool with the libtool script attached. Right now I am able to authenticate users against MySQL and PgSQL having secure channels such as cram, digest, openssl, tls right in place as well. Please allow me to highlight as well, that by today we have introduced a sparc repository for pre-compiled sparc software archives on our site http://www.sunfreepacks.com Following up with several recommendations we have added the highlighting of the page numbers to determine on which page the user currently resides. We would like to thank all the thousands of visitors giving us their contribution for a site improvement. Please visit http://www.sunfreepacks.com and get pre-compiled packages and archives for x86 and sparc platforms. All the best, Dave. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
