Hello,

If I post this thread in a wrong place, let me know.

I want to reinstall Sun Studio 12 in opensolaris 2009.06 snv111 using graphical
installer (installer file). But when the windows came to 'select content'
(translated from Chinese), the 3 check box are all grey, I can check them all,
but they all can't install! The install progress end soon after I pressed the
Next button.

I have installed Sun Studio 12 before in the system, but for some reason, the
Sun Studio 12 does not work now,so I need to reinstall it. But the reinstalling
process is so difficult, I'm frustrated. :(

Maybe it can be reinstalled by removing it completely?
There is a 'uninstall_any' script in the folder I extracted the sunstudio12
tarball (/install-intel-S2/installer). I executed:

yurippe at Mars:~/SS12/install-intel-S2/installer# ./uninstall_any
./uninstall_any [-d installdir] [-R altroot] release
yurippe at Mars:~/SS12/install-intel-S2/installer# ./uninstall_any -d /opt -R
/opt 12

It ends without any error messages. Is it right? But after doing this, the
'installer' does not install any packages as before:

yurippe at Mars:~/SS12# ./prepare_system -C
The following steps are required:
yurippe at Mars:~/SS12#
yurippe at Mars:~/SS12# ./batch_installer --accept-sla

Installation failed: not installed.\nyurippe at Mars:~/SS12#

Anyone can help me doing this? Thanks.

Shao
