Are you talking about Indiana?
Cdrtools compile fine with either GCC or Sun Studio. The makefile system
auto-checks for both and prefers Sun Studio if available.
You will have problems if you have strange environment variables or if your
PATH first finds not correctly working variants of programs needed for
compilation.
What exact problems dou you have compiling cdrtools?
