Currently, there doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this other than
by manual assembler coding ...

Hi Mark,
This is a bug in the Studio 12 compiler. It accepts the attribute even
though it is not supported. This has been fixed in a later release of
the Studio compiler (i.e., a warning is generated).
