FWIW, xvm-gate is, and always has, insisted upon setting group 'staff'
as trusted in order to use it (and this is also true across all the
xVM-related project groups).

A policy of not allowing 'trusted' settings is useless whilst our
version of hg still runs hooks owned by the user. And it's pretty silly
IMHO anyway.
