As far as I can tell, a bunch of features are missing, but I think what's going on is that the custom page templates I'd set up for 3.1.2 are copied over exactly, and so aren't displaying any of the new things. I think those changes will need to be merged in with the new templates. That should generally be pretty simple, I think. Other than that, the only problem I see, per se, is that there are two graphics on the front page that don't display properly -- they seem to be hidden by the text. Though since the text of that front page is one of the custom templates, that may be the problem.
