Hi LY5W, Try go to africa and join the QRN! I been in africa twice on dxped, also in pacific.
Not all spots had less than S8-s9+20 dbs noise level from time to time. I also operated 160m and experienced signals «skipping» over a distance.. so he migth have wrong skip!!
