This reminds me of the QSOs VE7SB (I think I remember that call right) and
VK3ZL did.Tree..it was Bob, VE7BS in Pemberton. I would often listen during their summer dawn chats using my ICF-2010 Sony and built-in ferrite loop. Often the VKs were good copy here on the kitchen table! I think condx must have been much different back then.
