Jeff, I also use THHN 14Awg stranded wire laying flat on the ground. I use brown insulation to match the desert floor, and one or two lawn staples per radial (each is 120 ft long). I'm not certain, but I think I bought it in 5000 ft spools. 73, Jim w8zr
