I am always amazed when something relevant to the community causes offence and people leave. I'm a doctor (retired) and have seen the effects of Lyme disease. For hams to go into the woods where getting this is a real danger and someone asks a question & others get offended by genuinely helpful replies and have a hissy fit, that's their personal problem. Hit the delete key, ignore the topic, it's not going to be around for long & above all, quit whining.
