Well conditions were quite up and down last night . . . but good to hear quite a lot of stations making the effort to get on Top Band on CW.
The whole idea is to at least have a FOCUS of at least one night when we can get a lot of stations on the band working each other, and Wednesday seems a good choice. (back in the day it was always Saturday night on 160m . . . but I think these days people often have social lives with their partners or family at the weekend) I usually come on the band from 23.30Z to 01.00Z . . . then around 03.00 for a while . . . then around our Sunrise (07.00) One thing I have noted . . . after working a few NA stations, I called CQ for ages, with no replies . . . so I spotted MYSELF on the DX Cluster (naff thing to do, I know) . . but guess what? I then started getting LOADS of replies. So please guys, can we try and Spot each other, to promote CW activity? (The FT8 boys do this all the time!) I know some people make a point of always doing this, like W0FLS - thanks Dave ! And I've said it before, but I'll say it again . . . it doesn't matter how many times I've worked a station before . . . EVERY QSO over 2000 miles on Top Band gives me a thrill . . . so please don't hesitate to give me a call if you hear me on ! (and I'm sure most other British stations think the same) Hope we can have even more CW stations on the band next Wednesday ! 73 Roger G3YRO _________________ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector
