Why bothered? It's up to the operator to manage his station and it has no affect on you. The output power while capable of exceeding FCC limits can easily be adjusted by decreasing input power. It certainly doesn't bother me what people build or use as long as they are not an asshat. Heck, yesterday I did 36 MPH in a 35 so who would I be to cast stones?
